There is no wrong or right answer here. Most pets are fed twice a day. However, for young puppies and kittens, they should be fed 3-4 times per day as they have much higher metabolic rates and immature stomachs that cannot process as much food in one sitting. Usually, around the 5-6 month age, pets would usually signal to us that they no longer need the lunchtime meal and can make-do with just breakfast and dinner. Owners with larger dogs may choose to feed just once a day. However, we would recommend that twice a day feeding might be healthier than once a day to prevent gulping / bolting food when overly hungry; or indigestion.
